Hon’ble Member of Parliament and the President and Founder of Darjeeling Welfare Society, Shri Harsh V Shringla, at his recent felicitation in Darjeeling, had pledged his support for the promotion of sports for the youth of the Darjeeling hills. Today, under his patronage, on and the valued support of COSCO India Ltd., 50 FIFA-certified footballs and football kits were handed over by Ms Dechen Wangdi, Secretary of the Darjeeling Welfare Society, on behalf of Harsh Vardhan Shringla, MP to Mr. Lakpa Sherpa, President of the Darjeeling Football Society in the presence of Mr. Darshan Sherpa, Secretary and members of Football teams, young players, and their parents making it a truly memorable and unforgettable day for the sporting community of Darjeeling.
