Event in Rural Areas by Darjeeling Welfare Society

Darjeeling Welfare Society, in collaboration with Jaipur Foot USA and with the support of Ghoom Jorebunglow People's Welfare Organization, successfully organized a charitable event at Singsa Kidu Hall in Ghoom, Darjeeling. The primary objective of the event was to extend assistance to elderly individuals and those who are financially disadvantaged in the Darjeeling hill areas. The program was graced by Dichen Wangdi, General Secretary of Darjeeling Welfare Society, and Manish Verma, Assistant General Secretary. Various essential items were distributed during this event to the elderly. These items included 60 sarees, 60 dry fruits, 20 blankets, 5 hearing aids, 5 walking sticks, 1 sewing machine, and 1 stretcher. The event served as a testament to the collaborative efforts made by these organizations in providing support and aid to those in need.
