A unique opportunity for sports in Darjeeling
The Darjeeling Welfare Society (DWS) organized a big sports event today, bringing together famous athletes, sports groups, and important people in Darjeeling sports. This event gave them a chance to talk with top officials from the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Khelo India, and the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA).
Well-known people like Ms. Roshni Rai, a famous ultra-marathon runner; Shri Satyajit Sanskrit, Executive Director of SAI/Khelo India; Shri Lakshman Dongari, Executive Director of SAI; and Shri Arijit Mitra, Executive Director of GTA, were present. Their knowledge and experience helped shape ideas for improving sports in Darjeeling.
By bringing everyone together and using their expertise, the DWS event is an important step toward creating a strong sports culture in Darjeeling. This effort will give young athletes chances to grow, learn leadership skills, and succeed in sports.
