Provision of computers to schools in need
In February 2024, the Darjeeling Welfare Society team traveled to remote areas of Darjeeling to provide underprivileged schools with much-needed computer sets. The computer sets, sponsored by the United States India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), provide high-end technology and IT support to schools in the Darjeeling hills that had no previous access to computers. Each school also received a year of free internet access, helping to open new educational opportunities.
