The Darjeeling Welfare Society is currently in the process of laying the groundwork for a large-scale renovation project of around 30 schools in the Darjeeling region that caters to students from underprivileged households. As an area prone to heavy rainfall, most schools in the region are in need of renovation and repair work especially for fixing cracks and leakages in the classrooms. Considering its mission and vision of providing conducive learning atmosphere to students, the DWS will be embarking on this journey by mid 2024.
